Dear Ones,
The moon of smelling has arrived and with it the aromas of hosting a possible future in these: war, pandemics, and ecological collapse-infested times. As the most ancient of senses, the nose goes deep into the archetypal beginnings of breath.
As earthlings, bodies made out of earth, in the Hebrew Creation narrative we were insufflated the breath of life by the Divine through our noses. As we smell, we remember the oldest memories. The scents of the different seasons, the plant nation, the different ecoregions of our mama earth, its flowers and nectars.
By the time you get this message, I will be in Colombia beginning our journey with our global alliance of sacred activists “Defend the Sacred” www.defendthesacred.com in support of the nonviolent community of “campesinos” Comunidad de Paz in Antioquia, in the faraway territories, close to the border of Panama. From there and as the moon of smelling waxes, we shall travel to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, hosted by Ati Quigua and the Arhuaco people at the Heart of the World.
With lavender to calm us down, sandalwood to brighten our senses, and osha root to go within, hibernate, and dream - we are influenced by this moon of smell. Plants become part of us, as we inspire reality through our noses.
Breathing our prayers for a culture of shalom /salaam, may we realize a more beautiful and just world in our lifetimes

I will launch the book with a few events on the East Coast in March/April '25, mainly around Manhattan, Brooklyn, and hopefully upstate, and "Verbing" through the West Coast from California to Vancouver in May '25.
