Changes on my Substack & Update for Aug/Sep in USA
Dear Ones,
I’m reaching out to you from the southern mountains of Costa Rica in these turbulent times. In this beautiful area, I’m resettling and building my new casita.
For a born-and-raised Argentinian like me, it is a pleasure to speak my native Spanish again. In these cataclysmic times, I consider it a luxury to be surrounded by clean rivers, colorful birds, and butterflies.
As I prepare my visit in August/Sep to the USA to celebrate my mom’s 90th birthday, I want to update you on a couple of new and exciting projects.
My new online course, https://theshalomcenter.org/sanctuary run by the Shalom Center: Sanctuary for the Apocalypse: a five-session experiential journey through song, guided meditations, journaling, biblical archetypes. This voyage serves as a sort of medicinal kit for these troubling times of policrises.
The course has five sections and will intend to cultivate the virtues of presence, flexibility, courage, playfulness, and humor.
The second project, Love the Stranger, addresses collective intercultural, intergenerational, and interfaith healing at a local level. In this case, in the city of Chicago for Labor Day ( Sun, Sep 6th). Working together with the Interfaith Council of the Northern Suburbs of Chicago, we intend to gather with all the main ethnic, racial, and religious communities of Chicago to celebrate diversity and listen deeply to the pains and dreams of each other as neighbors.
As of today, I still have some available dates in August in NYC and the Northeast area for my offerings. Bookings: Amengab@gmail.com
1 - weekend artist-in-residence, or shabbaton for Jewish congregations, custom-tailored to your needs.
2 - (Sanctuary for the Apocalypse: An interactive concert celebrating my book: On the Verge of the Verb
3 - Sacred Playshop (three-hour hands-on, mostly experiential)
4 - Sacred Trampolin (children’s presentation - 30-50 min)
Structural Changes on my Substack
What originally began as a monthly rendering and interview according to the moons of the Hebrew calendar, as referred to in the ancient kabbalistic text of Sefer Yetzirah ( Book of Formation) as Once a Moonth, has evolved into the broader name Sacred Rhythms. Within my Sacred Rhythms, there are now three main sections: HeartNews, Once a Moonth and Full Moon Gifts for paid subscribers.
After almost three full cycles of Once a Moonth, I’m ready to become more organic and only deliver this section when there is a special guest relevant to the lunar energies of this month according to the Hebrew Calendar,
Heartnews will become the main vehicle for my renderings, and Full Moon Gifts will remain as a present for my paid subscribers.
After three years, I’ve also updated the costs of the paid subscriptions to $8 (monthly) and $85 (yearly). As an independent creator, musician, and author, I truly appreciate your support.
